She continues to be an awesome puppy. She's letting me sleep longer at night, and also willingly and quietly goes back into her "room" after a late night/early morning trip outside. She's more and more energetic each day, so we've started trying to take very short walks around the cul-de-sac to get her used to the leash. She didn't like the idea at first, and insisted on walking herself:
She's learning quickly (though not as quickly as some other activities), so it will be nice to be able to help her expend some energy, especially after she's done growing. A current favorite way to expend her energy - tug on dog tails:
She still prefers sleeping on humans rather than the floor or in her "room" if the humans are willing:
I mentioned that she is growing intellectually as well as physically. As you might imagine from the photo below, those "walls" look pretty effective at keeping little Gin-Pig in the kitchen:
This morning she proved us all wrong. She has learned to jump slightly, get her front legs up on the board, and then use her hind legs to propel her over the top. She mastered the technique this morning, and within an hour had proficiently scaled the wall 3 more times. An order has been placed to Amazon for larger jail walls with expedited shipping... you would want these, too, after you observe how she's mastered the art of running in this video:
